Suge Knight is suing Chris Brown over a shooting incident at a 2014 VMA party, according to CBS Los Angeles.
Knight was shot seven times at a VMA pre-party in 2014 hosted by Brown at the 1 Oak club.
“As a result of the negligence of the defendants, one or more unknown individuals were allowed access to the event with weapons, including firearms,” the lawsuit claims. “As a foreseeable result, gunshots were fired by those admitted into the event and (Knight) was shot and seriously injured.”
The damages Knight is seeking are unknown at this time.
Knight is currently incarcerated and awaiting trial on a murder charge resulting from a hit and run incident in January of 2015. Knight’s attorneys argue the former music mogul’s fear as a result of the shooting at 1 Oak led him to flee when he was attacked in his car, an action which left one man dead and one injured.
