Over the weekend, Baltimore rapper Lor Scoota was shot dead as he drove home from a charity basketball game. Police say Scoota appears to have been “targeted.” While the 23-year-old’s murder is still under investigation, Meek Mill and The Game both paid tribute to the promising young talent.
“Damn, I seen so many young n—as fall victim tryna make it out,” Meek Mill wrote on Instagram.
“Another young one murdered,” wrote The Game. “Just last year the lil homie @scootaupnext was over my left shoulder in the huddle working on #TheDocumentary2 everyday in Los Angeles……. Then this news hits me SMH. LIFE……… hold onto it, or you’ll lose it & everything in it in the blink of an eye.”
During a vigil for Scoota in Baltimore, police commissioner Kevin Davis said: “This was an evening filled with all types of anxieties, reported NME. It was a largely peaceful gathering of people who cared for this young man that the city really loved.”
