50 Cent hit the Howard Theatre stage on August 27 for WPGC’s “50 & Friends” show, joined by Phresher, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Kidd Kidd and more.
Before the show, the rapper, entrepreneur and actor sat down with Mocha to talk about his new series on Starz, “Power.”

He also talked about his life on social media, saying “I don’t take myself so serious.”
When Mocha asked 50 what he really wants but can’t have, the rapper responded, “Normalcy.”
But at the end of the day, 50 said, he’s happy. After all, “Money is freedom — freedom to not wait for someone else to agree with my idea.”
He continued, “I’m getting the chance to create the things I really appreciated growing up, on television.”
