Chris Rock is returning to stand-up comedy after eight years away and making bank in the process.
The actor and comedian has reportedly inked a deal with Netflix for $40 million in exchange for two exclusive stand-up specials.
“The $20 million per special is believed to be more than such A-list comedians as Louis C.K., Jerry Seinfeld and Amy Schumer have commanded,” The Hollywood Reporter says.
Chris Rock fans will have to wait just a little longer, as the first special will be taped in 2017, after the veteran comedian sets off on a world tour currently being planned. It’s unclear when the second special will be released.
