JuJu’ing on that beat is a thing of the past; the #MannequinChallenge is the latest internet craze.
The Mannequin Challenge is exactly what it sounds like. Participants freeze in place to look like mannequins as someone walks around filming the group from different angles.
The challenge is popular among high schools. Teens across the nation are joining forces to make the best videos.
A popular choice for background music is Rae Sremmurd’s, “Black Beatles,” and teens going crazy when the beat drops.
Rae Sremmurd pulled off an epic version of the challenge at a recent concert.
Perhaps the best was when Paul McCartney himself did the Mannequin Challenge to “Black Beatles.”
The Mannequin Challenge is particularly popular with sports teams, especially after a win.
Here are some of the other posts that have gone viral.
Target even joined in on the fun, but cheated by using actual mannequins.
The challenge is harder than it looks. Folks have been dragging Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ attempt because no one seems able to stay still.
It’s the effort that counts, right?
