Redskins fans just got a major reason to fly Dulles. The airport is opening a Washington Redskins-themed restaurant named the ‘Burgundy & Gold Club.’
The new restaurant will come along with a stand-alone Redskins exhibit, showing the franchise’s deep history since coming to the district.
“We are excited to partner with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority to bring a Redskins themed restaurant to Dulles International Airport,” says Terry Bateman, Washington Redskins executive vice president.
“The Redskins have been part of the Washington, D.C., region since 1937, and having a presence at Dulles International Airport – a premiere gateway to the Capital Region – is a natural fit.”
The Redskins-themed restaurant, like the other 120 shops and restaurants that have opened at Dulles and Reagan International, is part of a revamping effort trying to make each airport feel more like home to DMV’ers.
So, Redskins fans, what would you like to see on the menu? A Hog Platter? The Kirk Burger?
Guess we’ll have to wait and see what the menu offers.
