Make-A-Wish Helps Local Boy Kaheem Become Superhero

Get your tissues out for this one. Kaheem is a 5-year-old boy from Maryland who is battling Leukemia, his one wish in the world is to be a superhero, and on this special day, that wish came true.

Fox 5 and Make-A-Wish Foundation collaborated to turn Kaheem’s wish into a reality.

With the help of local law enforcement agencies, Kaheem got an entire day to do super hero activities such as fight bad guys and rescue people.

A motorcade took him to save Santa on the Capital Wheel at the National Harbor. Then he took the reigns on a D.C. Fire and EMS boat. He completed a mission for House Speaker Paul Ryan and finished off at the National Theatre.

He even had a designated schedule so people could follow along and even root for him in person.

Scheudle via Fox 5:

10:00-11:00 AM: The Capital Wheel at National Harbor (116 Waterfront St., Oxon Hill, Md.)
3:30-4:30 PM: The National Theater (1321 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Washington, DC)
4:30-5:30 PM: The Newseum (555 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Washington, DC)

His day was truly special.

Here are the law enforcement agencies who helped grant Kaheem’s wish: Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services, Prince George’s County Fire & EMS, DC Fire and EMS, United States Capitol Police and the Metropolitan Police Department.
