YG will return in 2017 with a new installment of his Just Re’d Up series.
He announced his new mixtape Just Re’d Up 3 on Twitter. DJ Mustard returns to executive produce the project, and from his involvement it looks as though the two have cooled their bad blood. They parted ways after working together on YG’s 2014 studio album My Krazy Life.
As for his Just Re’d Up series, it marks four years since YG shared the last installment with fans. He first released Just ‘Re’d Up in 2011 and followed that up with Just Re’d Up 2 in 2013.
2016 was undoubtedly a big year for the Compton rapper. Earlier this year, YG released his second studio album Still Brazy, and closed out the year by teaming up with Lil Wayne for the song “Trill” as part of Red Bull’s “20 Before 17” series. And then, of course, there’s perhaps his biggest hit this year, “FDT,” which he released with Nipsey Hussle.
