Does it get any cooler than having the President of the United States not only at your wedding, but as a groomsman? Probably not.
This past weekend, President Obama was a groomsman at the Florida wedding of his longtime staffer and go-to golf partner, Marvin Nicholson.
Nicholson serves as the White House trip director and the president’s personal aide. He got married to Helen Pajcic, a special assistant at the U.S. Education Department, this past Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida.
“Obama has played 333 rounds of golf since taking office and Nicholson has joined the foursome for 192 of them, making him the president’s most frequent golf buddy,” according to CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller and the Associated Press.
With President Obama’s presence at the wedding, Nicholson and Pajcic’s marriage is off to a strong start.
