In most music videos, the artist of the song is either the star of the shoot or plays some sort of prominent role.
This wasn’t the case with one Young Thug music video, apparently.
The Atlanta rapper did not show up to his $10,000 video shoot for his song “Wyclef Jean.”
When Thugger failed to show up, video director Ryan Staake decided not to scratch the shoot– instead improvising to create what could be one of the trippiest videos of the year.
The video begins with a message from the director: “Hi, this is Ryan Staake. I ‘co-directed’ this video with Young Thug. But we never met each other.”
Many have dubbed this “The Greatest Music Video Ever Created.”
