WASHINGTON — That didn’t take long.
Even before the sun came up on Inauguration Day, reports of protests and violence began popping up all around the District.
Baltimore BLOC is creating a blockade at one entrance of the ceremony, with demonstrators chanting and forming a barrier.
That group also has several other demonstrations all around the downtown area, which is available on its Twitter account, but as a warning, much of its Twitter feed is laced with profanity.
Elsewhere, Black Lives Matter protests and demonstrations were able to be found all around the National Mall and its surrounding area.
Not all of the protests were completely peaceful, however. At least one report of violence breaking out at a protest has emerged, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see several more in the coming hours.
This post will be updated as the day wears on.
