This week’s DMV Spotlight highlights R&B crooner and native Washingtonian, Santino Rose.
Many things have come from the DMV area but the most notable is the great genre of go-go music. In the late 60s and early 70s, D.C. was the hotbed for a brand new sound of funk that infused with early hip-hop and R&B. Forty-some years later and it is still a dynamic genre for D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
